Following fourteen years of deep sea experience on all vessel types and in all ranks, Captain Thomas Brown graduated from Plymouth University with a BSc (Hons) in Marine Technology and Maritime Law before spending seven years working at a senior level in the claims department of a leading International Group P&I Club.
Nick has worked in the London insurance and reinsurance market for the last 26 years; prior to co-founding Seacurus in 2005, he was Divisional Director of Financial Risks for QBE Europe. Nick has a BSC (Hons) in International Shipping and Maritime Law from Plymouth University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Surrey.

Prior to joining Seacurus in 2013, Angus worked for a shipbroking firm specialising in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. He gained valuable experience of the offshore sector and developed his technical knowledge of the industry. Since joining the team, Angus has taken over day to day management of the Marine Kidnap & Ransom, War and CrewSEACURE books of business. He holds a First Class Honours Degree in Business with Marketing from Northumbria University.
Patrick graduated from Newcastle University in 2014 with a BSc (Hons) in Agri-Business Management. He then worked for an energy and marine insurance broker for around 2 years as an assistant account manager where he gained experience in various marine lines. He also spent time with several underwriters and brokers giving him an understanding of the London market.
For the last 13 years Joanne has worked as a Financial Administrator in the retail and banking sectors. Prior to joining Seacurus as Financial Controller, Joanne was the Finance Manager at Newcastle Building Society where she was responsible for financial reporting, authorisation of payments, allocation of funds and customer liaison for the third party arm of the business.
Following a decade as a navigation officer in the merchant navy, Steven Jones graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BSc (Hons) in Maritime Studies before moving into fraud investigations and maritime security. He has worked within the Risk Management department of a leading International Group P&I Club and advised a number of high profile shipping companies and organisations on risk and security.
